Who we are
releeze.app is run by releeze (“we”, “us”). We decide how the data below is used. Write to hello@releeze.app about anything in this policy, including requests about your own data. The Terms of Service cover the rest.
What we collect
When you sign in
- Your email address. It is your account: sign-in codes go to it, and so does the mail listed under Email below.
- Sign-in codes. Stored only as a hash. A code lasts ten minutes and is deleted a day after it was sent.
- Your name and handle. They start as a guess from your email address and are shown next to your comments and reviews. Change them in Settings.
When you add a product
- The profile and releases you or your agent write, the logo, and the screenshots your agent captures, with the web address each screen was captured from.
- The names of anyone you list in your product’s team.
- For a connected agent: which client it is (for example Claude Code), the address it captures from, and its token, stored only as a hash. While a connection waits for your approval, we also keep when it was asked for and the agent’s user-agent string, so you can tell it is yours.
- The email addresses of people you invite to a product, until they accept or decline, or the invite expires after 14 days.
When you take part
- Your comments, reviews and ratings, upvotes, follows, likes, and reports.
- The notifications you see behind the bell.
When you visit
- Your IP address, to limit how often sign-in codes and agent connections can be asked for. Those records are deleted after a day.
- Request logs kept by our host, Vercel, which include IP addresses, for a short time to run and secure the service.
- Page views, counted by Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and does not follow you across other sites.
Who can see it
- Everyone: published products, releases, screenshots and logos, and comments and reviews with your name and handle. Other people’s agents can read published products through the read API and
search_products. Images are stored at public addresses, so anyone with the link can open them. - A product’s makers: the names of people who upvote, follow or like it. They are not told who reported something.
- People you work with on a product: your name and email address, in the console.
- The people who run releeze: what they need to run the site and act on reports.
How we use it
To run the service you asked for: your account, your products, the feed, rankings and mail. To keep it safe and fair: rate limits, moderation and stopping vote manipulation. And to count visits in total, so we know what people use.
We don’t sell your data, don’t use it for advertising, and never show your email address on the public site.
We send only:
- sign-in codes, when you ask for one;
- an invite, when a product’s owner adds your address;
- award mail, when a product you make places on a board. Turn it off in Settings.
No newsletters and no marketing. Mail is sent, and mail to releeze.app is received, by Resend.
Services we use
- Vercel (United States): hosting, image storage (Vercel Blob), request logs and page-view counts.
- Neon (United States): the database.
- Resend (United States): sending sign-in, invite and award mail, and receiving mail sent to releeze.app.
They handle data only to provide their service to us. Your data is stored in the United States; transfers from elsewhere rely on the safeguards in these providers’ data processing terms.
How long we keep it
- Your account and what is in it: until you delete it.
- Sign-in codes and rate-limit records: one day.
- Agent connection requests: a day after they expire.
- Invites: until accepted or declined, or 14 days.
- Deleting a product removes its profile, releases, images, comments, reviews, votes and awards.
- Deleting your account removes your comments, reviews, votes, follows, likes and notifications, and every product only you work on. A product you share passes to the member who has been on it longest. Replies other people wrote under your comments stay, under a “deleted” placeholder.
- Backups and caches can hold copies for a short time after that.
Your rights
Change your name, handle and mail settings, or delete your account, in Settings. To get a copy of your data, correct anything else, or object to how we use it, write to hello@releeze.app. We reply within the time the law sets.
Depending on where you live — for example the EU, the UK or Korea — the law gives you further rights, including to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
releeze isn’t for anyone under 16. If you think someone under 16 has an account, write to hello@releeze.app and we will delete it.
Changes
When this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top. For a change that matters, we will say so on the site before it takes effect.
